I highly recommend Community Gardening Days in People’s Park! I gardened in People’s Park for five years, sometimes several days a week. Vegetables, flowers, fruit trees, native plants, beautiful trees. I met many interesting people, heard and told a lot of stories, made some very close friendships. I learned a lot about plants, gardening, native plants, botany, indigenous traditional uses of plants, ecology, ecological and social networks, met many musicians to play with with, did some dancing, enjoyed the sun and rain, sunsets, perfect afternoons, rest and relaxation. I recommend spending more time outside of buildings and cars and away from screens. 🙂 It’s as real as you make it. — Greg Jalbert
